Legionella and Landlords

Last year’s change to legislation surrounding Legionella inspections in property have now been taken on board by the Rental industry and Health and Safety inspections are being offered to all Landlords to comply with the HSE recommendations.

This is all because the HSE removed the size of water cylinder from the 1974 legislation and announced that the decision to have the checks carried out lies squarely on each and every Landlord’s shoulders.

As Agents, we have no option but to recommend that every house is surveyed and all of our Landlords will be receiving letters next week outlining both the implications and the costs of the survey.
