National Register a step closer

The Labour party have shown their support of a Private Landlord registration scheme which was published last Tuesday.  They do not confirm just how any such scheme would be monitored or even introduced, but it is a move which has been welcomed by the Industry.

 

They go on to say they wish to encourage professionalism in the industry and reduce the number of rogue Landlords who continue to blight the reputation of the Lettings Industry. The Association of Residential Letting agents have also thrown their weight behind the announcement, stating that with over a third of UK Families now living in rented accommodation, the issue of regulation can no longer be ignored.

 

This is also set against the background of increased Landlord activity and the promise of a resurgence of the Buy to Let market.
